An American Indian In Search of Good Fortune
This charcoal drawing of an American Indian depicts a belief that by shooting an arrow into the setting sun would honor the great spirits and bring good fortune in the following days. It is my hope by honoring this tradition having this drawing hanging in your home will also bring you good fortune.
This drawing is the first in a series that I have planned on doing for quite some time. I want to do some drawing depicting the American Indian and their beliefs in hopes of sharing just a little of the rich history of our great country here in the United States. While many of these traditions have been lost with the Indians way of life I do believe it is an important part of our rich history. I hope to remind all of us of their great way of life and the belief that one should never take more then they need from the land.
I hope you enjoyed viewing the Drawing of an American Indian and for a brief moment at least made you stop and think of their way of life.
